Business Retention and Expansion
The Greater Fredericton Region has looked for ways to optimize the potential of its existing business community to generate employment growth. To that end, the Region has adopted the Business Retention and Expansion Program (BR&E) which is a community based economic development tool that focuses on a community's existing business base.
The Business Retention and Expansion Program is a cost-effective approach resulting in employment growth and economic prosperity by helping communities identify barriers to the survival and growth of local business. The program seeks solutions that contribute to the sustainability and expansion of the Region's businesses.
